The Dance - Breathtaking...about 5 min.

In a Chinese modern dance competition on TV one very unique couple won one of the top prizes. The lady,
in her 30's, was a dancer who had trained since she was a little girl. Later in life, she lost her entire left
arm in an accident and fell into a state of depression for a few years. Someone then asked her to coach a
children's dancing group. From that point on, she realized that she could not forget dancing. She still loved
to dance and wanted to dance again. So, she started to do some of her old routines, but, having lost her
arm, she had also lost her balance. It took a while before she could even make simple turns and spins
without falling.

Then she heard of a man in his 20s who had lost a leg in an accident. He had also fallen into the usual
denial, depression and anger type of emotional roller coaster. But, she was determined to find him and
persuade him to dance with her. He had never danced, and to dance with one leg...."Are you joking with
me?? No way!" But, she didn't give up, and he reluctantly agreed thinking, "I have nothing else to do anyway."

She started to teach him dancing. The two broke up a few times because he had no concept of using
muscle, how to control his body, and knew none of the basic things about dancing. When she became
frustrated and lost patience with him, he would walk out. Eventually, they came back together and started
training seriously.
They hired a choreographer to design routines for them. She would fly high (held by him) with both arms (a
sleeve for an arm) flying in the air. He could bend horizontally supported by one leg with her leaning on him,
etc. In the competition, as you will see, they dance beautifully and they legitimately won the competition.
When I watched this I didn't even realize that she was missing an arm because I was focusing on the guy
with only one leg. Really quite amazing!

Dress-Ups - Beautiful Girls!

BrinLi loves to dress up!! She wanted Brooke to put on her prom dress and so they gave us a fashion show. Then she had the neighbor girls come over and play and they did it again! She loves to play with the girls! Sailor, Haleigh, and Delaney love to dress up too, so they have a good time together. BrinLi is making a lot of new friends. She gets along with everyone really well!

Brooke, BrinLi, and our neighbors, Haleigh & Delaney

BrinLi & Saylor Perkins. This is only one of about 10 different outfits they put on! They were dolled up all day!

BrinLi is kind of stingy when it comes to hugs and kisses, but not with Brooke! Brooke always gets them. They are buddies!!

The First Day of School, 1st Grade

BrinLi loved her new desk! She started right on her work writing her ABC's.

BrinLi and her teacher,
Mrs. Johnson

Braxton & BrinLi waiting to go to school. BrinLi thought they'd never open the doors. She's holding a necklace that she had made for her teacher, who she already loves!! She was very excited to give it to her.

She was so excited for school. She loved it!! Her teacher is Mrs. Johnson who is wonderful!! She has visited her, made her a welcome book, brought her balloons and candy. BrinLi could hardly wait. At 7:00 a.m. she had her back pack on and said, "Let's Go"!! It was a long hour waiting to go for her. She is like a little sponge. She just wants to do everything all the other kids do and she loves to learn. She has been practicing her name and can write it very well now. She knows a lot of her ABC's and a lot of numbers and math. She is learning words very fast and we are communicating better. She is very patient with us!! It is so exciting to see her progress so fast.

Brothers, Brothers, Brothers!!!!

The Million Dollar Smile!!! Go Red Sox!!

Bobby & BrinLi trading hats!!

Braxton & BrinLi showing off her ABC's she has been so excited to work on! She did her whole name right above her on the
fridge, BrinLi Xia Feng Bowring. She was very proud!!

The boys love to play with her and tease her, but I'm not sure who gets the worst of the teasing, she can sure hold her own. They all love her to death, and she loves them. She is always wondering where they are when they aren't home.
Brittain getting her geared up to be a Jazz fan!!!
